What is ROOT 412?

ROOT 412 is the ministry of Living Hope Church geared specifically toward teenagers in grades 7-12.  

Student ministry is an important part of local church ministry.  The Bible tells us how God used teenagers such as Mary and Daniel in the past to accomplish His plan, and it is no different today.  Students are much more than the church of tomorrow; they are an integral part of the church today!  The church needs to partner with the parents of teens and help to teach them right from wrong and how to live godly lives in this world today.  Teens need to be taught and encouraged to reach out to the unsaved people they encounter each day and be challenged to grow in their walk with Christ applying the things that they have been taught growing up.

Student ministry is not baby-sitting of the teenagers in the church, nor is its sole purpose to be a social or play group for them.  While fun is most definitely an integral part of it, a student ministry should be reaching lost teenagers for Christ, edifying its members through the teaching of the Word of God, helping students to identify their spiritual gifts, helping them to find opportunities to serve, and equipping them to go out and minister through service projects and missions trips.
